So long story short, I live in a hate filled angry hostile abusive household and I’m trying to move out and basically between college and trying to pay my own bills so I can get used to it and can save the extra to get a car and get out of here but I got “relieved” of my job for being trans and I can’t do anything about it and while between jobs I am actively searching for a new one but my bank account is currently empty after last months bills which screws me over quite a lot, so I set up a PayPal and anything is appreciated. I am a Hispanic American, born in Texas, (South Texas to be exact) and I am concerned.
I know this is older news but it’s still deeply disturbing, especially from a Tejane perspective. Many Latine families like mine have been here since Texas was annexed by the United States, meaning our families never immigrated into the U.S. at all. And now the current administration is trying to kick us out, off of land that they stole from our mother country that we were born on. It’s a crystal clear modern day illustration of an attempt to build an ethnically pure homeland with stolen resources.
Not to mention the fact that Mrs. White isn’t qualified to teach.
She should be required to take a remedial English course.

first, my kid would not sign anything without me seeing it first. 2nd, upon seeing it i would be at the superintendant’s office the next morning.

Dont let your children be controlled like this. I remember back when I was in school my mom always told me “if you really need to use the bathroom or attend to an emergency and the teacher won’t let you, then just leave the classroom and I’ll deal with teacher and principle”

If I was this kid I would use up those passes and then just fuckin’ throw up or get a severe nosebleed in the classroom and then refuse to leave because “sorry, I can’t go to the nurse, I already used up my two passes for the fucking MONTH”
There was a student at my high school, who we will call John Doe, who actually did that. When teachers gave him a limited number of bathroom allowances (usually 3 per semester, which was the standard at my school), he would use them in the first week, and then induce vomitting my eating rotten food he found around the school garbage cans. If teachers refused to let him go, he would just throw up on something they had to touch. Light switches, keyboards, whatever was available.
Instead of making admin do anything about this toxic policy, they just doubled down harder, to the extent that one girl politely informed a teacher that she felt like she might be about to have a seizure and could she go to the nurse, please. She was denied, sat back down at her desk, and promptly passed out and concussed herself on the concrete floor when she fell.
Another girl had severe vertigo-induced fainting, could not get a teacher to excuse her from a phys ed class, and fell off a monkey bars and split her head open, and nearly lost an eye because her glasses broke when she landed.
A student with, I believe, diabetes had a severe blood sugar drop and tried to eat a candy bar in a class with a “no food or drinks” rule. The candy bar was taken away, and she had to be taken out by EMTs.
This kind of human rights abuse in public schools is not new. I graduated a full decade ago.
I’m glad it’s being publically discussed again, (briefly around 2003-2005 this was also a popular subject of discussion). I hope that this time, concrete changes in policy are actually affected.

Also, denying people the ability to use the bathroom leads to other health problems besides psychological. Being forced to hold it leads to:
UTIs
Bladder infection
Kidney infection
Kidney stones
Kidney disease
Constipation
Rectal bleeding
Colon damage, infection, hemorrhoids, and other issues caused by straining far too hard to go when you’re constipated
Including permanent damage that can make it harder for you to go in the future
And those of us who menstruate? Vaginal infections, ruining our clothes, exposing others to a bio hazard (dead blood), etc.
Doing this shit to children means a potential lifetime of problems, psychological and physical.
Not to mention treating kids in pain or who are sick by telling them to get over it instead of letting them go to the nurse, take their medicine, etc has its own unique set of issues. Including… potential death. The examples above were very lucky they didn’t die, but I have heard of it happening…
Back at it now that I have a stock pile of stories to tell. I’m in a slightly different field of customer service but the customers are still very much insane.
Had such a vivid dream of a gender swapped Henry and Belch. Tho Belch’s nickname was Bitty because she developed early and had… you guessed it, big tits. She was also kind of ditsy and Henry flat chest had to keep guys away from her bc she always attracted the jerks.
Anyways they were standing by the lockers, Henry looking angry like always. Then Bitty asks “You think if I were prettier boys would like me more?”
And Henry deadass looked her in the eyes and said “Who the fuck cares?”
And it was like a revelation. In that moment both me and Bitty were like “Dang Hen. You rite. who cares what boys think”
I want to draw this out but I have no skills. But that won’t stop me from weirdly explaining it to you guys.
