Tonks: Alright whoever thought using a time turner on an Order mission was a bloody idiot. Those little wheels spin way too easily.

Tonks: Wait.. this is Hogwarts? I think?

Tonks: Whoops, sorry about that. Temporary magic malfunction.

*looks at the very prestigious and slightly outdated clothes of the other* Hey aren’t you a little over dressed for just going to class?

Orion blinks not really amused but not displeased either.

Orion says with a matter of factness.

“…I was practically raised in suits.”

Okey Tonks could not deny that he had her there. Besides it’s not like he looked bad in a suit..

Orion is amused by the stranger.

“…clearly your magic malfunction is bigger than you thought?” He asks perplexed instead of unkindly. 

*screams internally* 

Merlin this couldn’t be who she thought it was. Her mother had told her plenty of her great uncle Orion Black and what he put her cousin through. This man didn’t seem that sadistic.

Orion nods a little clearly not knowing what is going on with Tonks.

“Strange name…but okay…” He comments.

“…are you sure your okay?” He asks suspiciously.

There was something clearly strange about this girl but he couldn’t place why.

“Freaking time turners..” She mumbles under her breath. 

It was now very obvious that the universe thought itself hilarious by playing a very sick game on her. She’d never wanted anything to do with her mother’s side of the family and now here she was. Practically falling into the lap of the man she had grown up to know to be one of the worst ones of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black.

She couldn’t help but to put him to the test.

“..was my father’s.”

Orion stiffens up like a board clearly caught by surprise he didn’t hear what she muttered under her breath.

Orion was disappointed. He had hoped to make a new friend but according to her lineage he couldn’t be. It was just how he was raised. He just stood there waiting for her to leave. 

The disappointed look on his face made it all come out as one big word vomit. Tonks never did know when to shut up.

“What a pity.” Tonks said in an icy voice locking eyes with Orion. Eyes passed down to her from her mother.

Orion stares at her stunned beyond belief. She was a Black just like him? However she was unpure and he couldn’t believe it that someone in their family would betray the noble house of Black.

“…is this your idea of a sick joke?” He asked clearly not amused now. 

Tonks couldn’t stop a frustrated laugh slip from her lips.

“I have no reason to lie to you and family jokes are getting old.” the laugh slowly died as she continued.

She knew she was treading dangerous waters. Talking about this was illegal and just plain stupid. Still somehow Tonks couldn’t seem to get herself to care.

“..not in my time at least.”

Orion can’t believe the confession nor can he really care. It’s just so unbelievable that such a thing could happen. Maybe not now but in the future? Oh Merlin this was just too much for him.

Orion stops himself before he could slap Tonks for what she said. He clearly regrets what he was about to do.

“…whatever you unpure mudblood.” He shakes his head and stalks off angrily.

“There’s the real Black.” Tonks sends one last look after Orion before twisting the time turner again and disappears.
