Anon request: Heyy I love all your prompts!! Can you do one with #12, #18, #20, #33, and #43!? Sorry I know it’s a lot but I feel like they go together!
I woke up with a start, banging my head on something hard. I rubbed it, noticing I was in a small cage. The memories of what happened a few hours previously came flooding back
~5 hours before~
For months I had eluded Pan and his lost boys on his island. Day after day, he’d sent scouts to try to find me and bring me to camp and they’d never been successful.
Until today, that is.
Maybe I let my arrogance go to my head (much like someone I know) as I didn’t think twice before lighting a fire in the early hours of the morning when it was still cold and slightly dark.
And while fire equals warmth and light, fire also equals smoke.
That smoke being what gave me away.
I was minding my own business when I heard voices.
“Look over there!” exclaimed one voice.
“Smoke,” stated another.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
I hurriedly kicked some dirt over the fire to put it out and grabbed the only 2 things I owned: a wooden hunting spear I’d made on my first day on the island and my inconveniently bright orange backpack.
I hesitated a moment to check if they’d noted the location of the smoke correctly as I couldn’t hear or see them and I didn’t want to waste my effort running away if they were so stupid they’d actually managed to lose me without me even having to move.
That was a big mistake.
Pan, Felix and two boys who must have been the ones I heard talking before appeared over a grassy rise just metres before me, locking eyes with me instantly. Of course they would have gone to get their leader.
A cocky grin spread across Pan’s face and Felix swung the club off its permanent resting place on his shoulder while I stood frozen like a deer in headlights.
Then the adrenaline kicked in, I guess triggering that fight or flight reaction. With me vs four boys, you can guess which won out. I backed away as Pan taunted, “you can run but you can’t hide.”
I can sure as hell try. I turned tail and ran, hearing them sliding down the bank. I knew the island well after sneaking around on it for so long, even through the fading darkness.
My instinct was to outrun them and get to the caves so I could lose them in the network of passages and tunnels there. I was a fast runner, and there was a steady distance between us. They were not closing in on me, thank god.
I put on an increased spurt of speed and was delighted to see the entrance to one of the caves very close by. I made straight for it and heard Pan yelling, “NOW!”
A blonde haired woman I’d never seen before stepped out in front of me from inside the darkness of the cave just as I approached it and I turned, ready to run back in a different direction, only to find the four of my pursuers had spread out, trapping me at the mouth of the cave.
“Much obliged, Tinkerbell,” Pan said jovially.
“Did you really think it would be that easy?” Pan asked, punctuating his sentence with a laugh.
“With your stupid lost boys, yes,” I said, defiantly. I tried not to let my fear show.
I gripped my hunting spear tightly, taking this opportunity to swing it over my head and deliver a carefully placed blow to Tinkerbell behind me, landing it directly between her collarbone and neck.
She staggered back, glaring at me with a hand to the spot I just hit.
“You’re going to regret that,” Pan seethed.
“Oh I’m sure,” I sneered back.
Felix advanced after a shared look with Pan and I held my spear with two hands in a fighting stance, ready to defend myself.
Felix raised his club and brought it smashing down, breaking my spear into two splintered halves. Angered, I turned both the jagged edges towards him.
“Stop playing and drop them, girl,” Pan commanded. “Unless you want to see what Felix can really do with that club.”
I considered it for a second. Thinking rationally, two pathetic splintered sticks weren’t really going to do a lot of good against five people, all equipped with weapons.
I decided to submit, going against what my heart was telling me.
I threw the spear pieces to the ground and Felix swung his club around my neck from behind me, trapping me in place.
“Her bag, please, Felix,” Pan requested.
I let him rip the bag off my shoulders and throw it to Pan who caught it and started examining the contents.
He pulled out an apple, which he took a bite of before discarding, a vial of dreamshade I’d extracted and magically made it disappear (”Oh no, much too dangerous for little girls to be playing with) and finally, the last object: a pouch of poppy powder.
“I think we can find a use for this,” he declared with a smile. He strode up to me, while pouring some of the contents into his palm. I took a deep breath before he reached me, preparing so I wouldn’t need to breathe in the dust but Felix stamped on my foot causing me to gasp just as Pan blew the dust in my face.
I inhaled and I was out.
~Present time~
Pan emerged into my vision.
“Well, well, well, looks like we finally have you trapped.”
“Took you long enough,” I snorted. I picked at the wooden bars absentmindedly.
Pan shook his head. “It doesn’t matter how long it took. The point is: now you’re mine and you aren’t going anywhere.”
“We’ll see how long that lasts,” I said, even though I had no idea how I was going to escape this predicament. I’d had close calls before but this was another level.
He crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow. “What’s your name?”
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” I said in an airy voice.
“Yes. That’s why I’m asking.”
I forced a short laugh.
“It’s y/n but that doesn’t really change anything, does it, Pan?”
He shrugged. “Well it makes our relationship a little more personal I’d say,” he claimed.
“Yeah,” I fake agreed. “Except we don’t have a relationship.”
“Not yet,” he smirked suggestively.
What the fuck… creep.
“Darling y/n if I didn’t want you for something, you would be dead by now.”
“What a shame, I was looking forward to being put out of my misery,” I spat sarcastically. “What do you want me for then?”
“Well, I don’t know if you’ve noticed but you are the only girl on Neverland meaning you get to be the one to please me when I want you to.”
“As if!” I screwed my face up in disgust.
“Give it time,” he said, stalking off. “You will obey me sooner or later.”
