A 16-year-old transgender girl in Connecticut has been incarcerated in an adult men’s prison for nearly a month — and she still hasn’t been charged or convicted of a single crime.

“Jane Doe"was living in a home for traumatized youth when authorities claim she attacked a staffer. But no criminal charges are even pending against her.

Instead, the teen has suffered in SOLITARY CONFINEMENT for weeks without treatment or educational training  — and instead of letting her go, the Department of Correction wants to send her to a men’s prison where she’ll be at high risk of abuse and sexual assault!

Just so everyone remembers, this girl is a multiple rape victim who has been physically and sexually abused not only by her own family, but also by staff in DCF group homes. She “assaulted” a male staffer who GRABBED HER FROM BEHIND, a male staffer who has since been fired.

DCF lied to the court to get authorization to put this girl in prison, claiming that the staff she assaulted were “seriously injured” when the police report in fact says there were only minor injuries. And now DCF – not Corrections, but DCF – is petitioning to put her in a men’s prison.

The judges asked Glaze what he does for a living. He replied that he
works as a cashier and that he liked the job because cute girls come
into the store and they don’t leave without saying  “hi” to him.

Judge Bryan then asked Glaze if he “had ever kissed a girl and liked it.”

Glaze responded “No.” He explained that he has never been in a
relationship. “I can’t kiss a girl without being in a relationship,” he
said.

Perry stood up. She then demanded he come over and kiss her. She
pressured him into coming over to her while the teenager was very
reluctant.

The 19-year-old then kissed Perry on the check but she was unhappy, saying: “you didn’t make the smush sound.”

The teenager said he will try again. As he tried to kiss Perry on the
cheek again she quickly turned her head and kissed him on the lips
instead.

Glaze was so surprised that he dropped to the floor while the judges exchanged high fives.

The teenager blushed and asked Perry how it was. She replied: “Oh don’t try to be cocky now.”

The teenager then asked for water before starting his performance. He
sang Nick Jonas’ “Levels.” In the end, he did not make it to the next
round.

Utah Mom Upset After School Tells 6th-Graders They Can’t Say No When Asked to Dance

“The teacher said she can’t,“ Richard said. “She has to say yes. She has to accept and I said, ‘Excuse me.’”

Richard took her concerns to the school principal.

“He basically just said they’ve had this dance set up this way for a long time and they’ve never had any concern before,” she said of his response.

Lane Findlay with the Weber School District confirms it’s a rule, but he said it’s meant to teach students how to be inclusive.

“Please be respectful, be polite,“ Findlay said. “We want to promote kindness, and so we want you to say yes when someone asks you to dance.”

“I do see it from their perspective when it comes to that, but there are many other ways to teach children how to be accepting than with a social dance,” Richard counters.

Richard believes forcing students not to say no teaches them the wrong lesson.

“Psychologically, my daughter keeps coming to me and saying I can’t say ‘no’ to a boy,“ she said. “That’s the message kids are getting. Sends a bad message to girls that girls have to say ‘yes’; sends a bad message to boys that girls can’t say ‘no,’” Richard said.

Prior to the dance, which is voluntary, students are told to fill out a card by selecting five people they want to dance with. The administration says if there’s someone on the card you feel uncomfortable with, the student is encouraged to speak up.

“If there is an issue, if there’s students that are uncomfortable or have a problem with another student, I mean: that’s certainly something that can be addressed with that student and parents,” Findlay said.

A Florida teenager who survived the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High in Parkland, Florida, issued a rousing call to action at a rally against gun violence.

Emma Gonzalez declared that the shooting at her school should be “the last mass shooting.”

And she responded directly to Trump’s tweet, which blamed students at the school for not reporting on the shooter’s behavior before the event.

“We did,” Gonzalez said, “time and time again, since he was in middle school.”

“We need to pay attention to the fact that this isn’t just a mental health issue,” she continued. “He wouldn’t have harmed that many students with a knife.”

“How about we stop blaming the victims for something that was the shooter’s fault?” she demanded, and called out those who do deserve to shoulder that blame.

“[The people] who let him buy the guns in the first place. Those at the gun shows. The people who encouraged him to buy accessories for his guns to make them fully automatic. The people who didn’t take them away from him when they knew that he expressed homicidal tendencies. And I am not talking about the FBI. I am talking about the people that he lived with, I’m talking about the neighbors who saw him outside holding guns.”

And Gonzalez again did not let Trump’s responsibility go unremarked upon

“If the president wants to come up to me and tell me to my face that it was a terrible tragedy, and how it should never have happened, and maintain telling us that nothing is going to be done about it, I’m going to happily ask him I’m going to happily ask him how much money he received from the National Rifle Association.”

Gonzalez then called attention to the $30 million spent by the NRA in support of Trump in the 2016 presidential election, and how that translates onto each life lost to gun violence.

“That comes out to being $5800. Is that how much these people are worth to you, Trump?” She asked.

“To every politician who has taken donations from the NRA: Shame on you!”

The crowd erupted into a loud chant, echoing her cry: “Shame on you!”

Emma Gonzalez and her Florida community are not allowing Trump, the Republican Party, or the NRA to intimidate them into silence. They are speaking up to defend their families, and shaming those who enable this epidemic of violence.
