Like, I get it.

She’s the daughter he technically didn’t want, right? At least for a good portion of knowing about her. Even suggested getting rid of her. Asked for Jacob’s assistance. (That’ll lead to an awkward talk between Nessie, her dad, and boyfriend later) The kid that was hurting his wife and making him freak tf out.

The daughter who officially brought Jacob into his family. As his son!

Also, Bella almost or basically did die giving birth to her. 

Then, the Volturi are on their asses…again. 

Maybe she got a time out for that. 

Of course, it’s really Bella’s fault for having her but to Edward, Bella can do no wrong. (Or Carlisle for forgetting how to use a phone to explain shit right off the bat). 

So, I don’t think he’s Nessie’s number one fan. 

That’d be between Jacob and Rose.
