Seriously. What on earth could a 3 yr old do to “warrant” a gun to the chest???
Apparently they were in the process of arresting her mother (whom they beat while handcuffed, naturally), also pointed the gun at the head of the child’s grandmother, and pointed the gun at her when she did what any toddler would do and started wailing. The incident gave her one of the worst cases of child PTSD the expert they assigned has ever seen and she’ll need therapy well into her adult years.
Anyone with even a passing knowledge of gun safety knows that you do not point a gun at anyone you are not willing to kill. So best case scenario these officers were grossly incompetent and worst case they were willing to kill a child for crying. This settlement is the least they deserve.
You trick a Leprechaun into leading you to his pot of gold. As you grab it, you feel yourself shrink. You turn to see the Leprechaun grow to normal height, aging rapidly as the years spent as a fae catch up to him. He says, “I tried to keep you from it,” then dies.
Can I still go back to my place where there’s wifi or…?
because it more complex and annoying answer, i’m just going to ignore all the drarry undertones in this ask and pretend you mean this at face value and that this has nothing to do with you shipping them.
firstly:
harry was a child. it is not his job to “know better” and “set a good example” to somebody his age who bullied him and his friends (often in a malicious and bigoted way, i.e classism to ron, and bullying hermione on her blood status, and taking advantage of neville not being very good at magic etc). like sure, i agree, draco’s a complex character, but he wasn’t a Precious UwU Babby, he was a hateful and disgusting bigot to those around him, and got away with it because his dad had high connections.
secondly:
you know harry’s from an abusive household too, right…? like harry objectively has more and worse going on in his life. he’s an orphan who’s been thrown headfirst into a world he doesn’t understand, he hasn’t a single family member who treats him right.
ignoring the first book, because you also wrote that one off, in the second book, harry was thought to be a mass-murderer and the heir of an ancient terrorist. he was being terrorized by a house-elf, too, for good measure.
third book, harry is being constantly attacked by LITERAL DEPRESSION, and believes he is being hunted down by the man who killed his parents.
i hope i don’t need to explain why harry might be distracted in Goblet of Fire.
and so on!
THIRDLY: it shows a lot about how you think that you seem to be under the impression that harry should know better, but for some reason, draco isn’t.
look. just because harry’s the protagonist doesn’t mean it’s his duty to solve everybody’s problems. dude’s a kid. it is NOT his duty to befriend his bully.
i never expected things to come to this, but my boyfriend, @bitterwort and i have hit quite the road bump. we’re really struggling, unfortunately, for housing and food. as the summer school semester comes to a close, our summer housing is kicking us out and we’re basically homeless for two weeks until the fall semester begins and housing opens up. we would both go home to our families, but they’re two (my family) and six (my boyfriend’s family) hours away from our college campus, and they’re also highly emotionally and sometimes even physically abusive. we also both have jobs that require our permanent residence in our college town. we’ve run out of food stamps this month which we split among each other, can barely afford to pay for gas to and from work, i haven’t even started my new job yet, need to pay our invoice for a storage unit, need to pay to use a washer and dryer, and my car is in the shop right now and i’m expected to pay the mechanic $100 dollars for reinstalling the car’s belt. my boyfriend has an emotional support cat, and we’re also struggling to keep her fed and happy alongside us.
i’m swallowing my pride here, it’s embarrassing, and i would never ask if it weren’t serious. if you could help out with a few dollars or even just reblog this so we can breathe and know we can eat for the evening, maybe even snag a cheap hotel until we can find someone to take us in for the two weeks. anything and everything helps thank you.
y’all remember that part in breaking dawn when bella is talking to a baby renemsee and says something like “ur the prettiest” and edward walks in and is like “I disagree…”
like listen pal you have made it clear that bella is ur reason for being, ur own personal brand of heroin, etc etc… BUT THATS YOUR DAUGHTER!!!! 🙄💀
Like, I get it.
She’s the daughter he technically didn’t want, right? At least for a good portion of knowing about her. Even suggested getting rid of her. Asked for Jacob’s assistance. (That’ll lead to an awkward talk between Nessie, her dad, and boyfriend later) The kid that was hurting his wife and making him freak tf out.
The daughter who officially brought Jacob into his family. As his son!
Also, Bella almost or basically did die giving birth to her.
Then, the Volturi are on their asses…again.
Maybe she got a time out for that.
Of course, it’s really Bella’s fault for having her but to Edward, Bella can do no wrong. (Or Carlisle for forgetting how to use a phone to explain shit right off the bat).
Four Swedish police officers’ New York vacation was interrupted when a fight broke out on the subway. The train operator called for support, and — being cops and all — they dutifully stepped in to help until local authorities arrived.
The visiting cops had to subdue the two men involved in the fight, which no doubt takes skill to do safely. But it’s how they did their job after they gained control that really impressed people.
Say it louder for those in the back to hear. Calmly and unarmed.
Cops who help people, calmly disable a situation and restore public order rather than flex their authority, escalate the situation leading to a shit storm? Interesting….
“I’d like to say this is a learning moment for a lot of people that it’s OK for animals to be gay,” Chaselyn said. “It’s OK for humans to be gay, or pan, or bi, or transgender. If you’re not OK with your dog being gay, you should take a look at yourself and your own identity.”
